Installation Question

I have Doomsday Installed, I have it patched up to 1.3

I go to Download locations, I click for said pack, I click run, it installs.

I go to play World in Flames, and its still doomsday, yet it says its installed.

I read through making sure I didnt miss anything, and it says to copy paste some of the files for the mod, but I dont know where the mod is! Its not listed anywhere in the doomsday folder, its not in the HoI2 folder, and its not in downloads folder!?

What did I do wrong, or what should I be doing!?!

Installation

Doomsday users : Install World in Flames for DD 1.3a over your Doomsday version with Patch 1.3a installed.

Correction, im still confused.

What are the root files? And didnt I already download ModEWWII?

If you're trying WIF you'll need to install the Doomsday 1.3a patch first :

Have you done a global search of your hard drive(s) to see if the file (MOD_GC_v1.0.exe) was downloaded into another folder ?

And if you're using Vista, click the 'compatibility files' button, just in case

When WIF 1.0 is running, it should ask you in which directory you want to install it. You must install it on your Doomsday folder.

I had it patched, but I know the problem now I have to go through and then pick the doomsday folder itself correct?

Thanks for the help, and I have a comment to make for you.

I hate you. You love the french dont you Admit it.

I started from 36 on normal mode, and couldnt beat the french (hell, they invaded me even though I had most of my forces sitting in the forts)

I tried again in Noob mode. Instead, I succede in crushing Belgium and Netherlands, but am facing over 100 divisions of french troops and a stalemated front ensues. Even when I have numerical and air advantage, as well as armor, I cant break through them.

The main thing though.. is how in the hell did the french get 100 something divisions with the Industry it starts out with, plus all the upgrades and reinforcing it has to do?

Anyways, I am enjyoing thee mod (instead of disliking the french in the game, I now loathe them from the bowels of hell [i was crushed on noob diffculty by FRANCE!!])

I suggest you to create a thread about this (and check existing ones). Many people have the very same problem you are describing here, they will certainly help you (and so will I).
