I installed HOI2 1.3 over DD expansion, and I know that for the game to work correctly now, I'll have to uninstall and reinstall DD. However, the game does work, the only problems I have now is that escort fighters that I build won't attach to any of my bombers, and when I surrender a game, it goes to the screen with the three totals for Axis, Allies, and Comintern, and then it crashes to desktop.
I know what I'll have to do for it to work 100% correctly, but I don't want to lose my saved games, is there anyway to uninstall and install my DD, but without losing my saved games?

If the save games were made with the still fully functional doomsday version you had prior to the patch mixup with hoi2 1.3, then simply copy the save game directory contents to a different location prior to uninstall/reinstall.

After re-installation, just copy the files back into the save games folder.

If you saved with the mixed up hoi2/dd patched version, then you better just remove those saves, as they most likely will not function properly after reinstallation of doomsday
