Installing and running the game

Hi there,

Since yestreday I am trying to install and run the EU on my pc. So far I couldn't manage to see even one screen of the game. Below is a history of my trials:

1. Installation gave an error: STRING NOT FOUND, NOT FOUND.
2. Following the tips in this site, I killed the installation task using the task manager.
3. I downloaded the patch 1.08 UK, and installed it.
4. I received the error EU CD NOT FOUND.
5. My game box does not have any of the logos, no Strategy First, no KOCH. I bought it in the Netherlands.
6. I downloaded the patch 1.08 US, and installed it.
7. I received the error saying the installation could not be found.
8. I wanted to uninstall and re-install the game, but I couldn't uninstall. No error messages, nothing happened.
9. I tried to re-install the game. I received this message: 'Do you want to completely remove the selected application and all of its components?' (when trying to install!!!), then this message: '... the compoents are restored...'
10. I still have the EU CD NOT FOUND error.

My system is an NT4 with SP 6. PIII, 128 MB.

Do you have any other suggestions? Or should I just return the game back???

I had exactly the same problem "string not found"not found. I am also running NT, which may be the main problem. I have requested help from support. I'll let you know if I get an answer...
