instant release - help me please

hello people, to be blunt: i downloaded the game over steam a few years ago and everything was running smooth, i have installed mods and they work fine and have done for months, i woke up a few days ago though, reloaded an old prison and EVERYTIME new prisoners come into my prison, they are INSTANTLY released, i've tried spawning new prisoners in, making countless new prisons, disabling all mods, but they still get instantly released, i've changed every setting i can, but it doesn't work, is there anything i can do apart from a total reset (uninstall and reinstall the game)

It's possible that a mod was updated and thus broke the other mods, though I'm unsure exactly.

I can only assume that something is broken in your install. Try verifying files on Steam, if that doesn't work then you'll want to do a clean install. Backup any prisons you want to keep that aren't in the cloud. Uninstall the game, delete the PA folder here: %localappdata%\introversion\Prison Architect\ Then reinstall the game.
