Getting a good amount of interest over on Discord, so happy to say we'll be moving ahead. That being the case, may as well begin introducing some of the world building stuff to help with character creation...
The World...
The mapped world. The area surrounding the Caspian Sea is a tumultuous land populated by various kingdoms, city-states, and theocracies. Beyond the roads and walls of civilization, a dangerous wilderness is ever encroaching, threatening all, while the nations of the world are locked in an ever fluctuating tide of war and alliances. The Free City of Haven is the last bastion of neutrality, where all races and creeds are welcome no mater the diplomatic stance of their homeland. It is here where the Adventurer's Guild maintains its headquarters. It is here that you call home.

On Gods and Magic
Magic in the Caspian Sea is common, but few have the power to wield it. Some actively hunts spellcasters and corrupt them to their own uses, or failing that, destroy them.
The Gods take active interest in the world, often shaping dreams and sending signs to mortals in order to have their divine will carried out. However they do not inhabit the world, but rather the Heavens and Hells above and below.
Rituals are common methods in opening up communication with the Gods, who tend to send signs and dreams to those partaking soon after a ritual is complete.
Upon one’s death, their soul departs the mortal realm, and either ascends into the heavens, or descends into the hells depending on the manner in which they conducted themselves over their lifetime. In some cases, however, the soul’s link between the divine realms becomes severed, and they are doomed to inhabit the mortal world until a time when their link may be reestablished.
On Character Creation...
All races and classes in the Player's Handbook are free to choose for players. I'm going rather light on world building, letting the details come out over the course of adventures, rather then writing entire volumes on it, but I'm more then willing to answer any specific questions you might have regarding possible backstories.
As for ability scores, we're going to have our handy dice bot roll our ability scores, rolling 4d6, keeping the highest 3, a total of six times. You may put the accumulated scores in whichever field you choose.
