First - thanks to all in Paradox for having the imagination to create an open gaming environment - it should get ever strategic gamer hooked forever.

My Q is straightforward - international openness.

I bought EU2 in Italy (in Italian). I also have noticed many bugs in the translation, and indeed came to this site trying to find downloads. Imagine the surprise :)

In the spirit of openness, could the guys at Paradox make available in the Download section .DOCs or .TXTs of the manuals in the various languages in which they are printed? Reason is because though people can play a game in many languages, it is often much better to read the manual in the mothertongue.

Also, is it possible to make available a listing of the provinces and their respective code numbers ? Same for religions, country codes etc. OK I know I can take the CSVs copy them into Access and sum them up, but I'm lazy :p

And finally, would EU2 Italian version work with other languages if someone copied me other local language files? Reson for this question is that this way I could play 1.05 English while waiting for 1.05 Italian.

Many thanks - tusentakk.

yep, way too many bugs in transaltion :(

I understand, but I don't think it will be done; too easy for the pirates to download the manual without paying for the game.

check the scenario and FAQ forum, many lists have already been done.

you only need the text.csv file. and yes it will work :)

Viper - many thanks for your response on all three points.

Follow up question :

Given the game structure is open and scenarios text editable, has anyone come up with "snap-and-play" profiles of political entities that you can c+p into new scenarios ?

Many thanks
