Hello, I have introduced this interesting MOD to Japanese EU2 users
and I am awared of some bugs in text.csv of v1.03 while at work:
There are some events which differ in number of semicolon or include unexpected linebreaks as belows;
HUN_DESC
MAM_DESC
SAV_DESC
u35_GC_VPTACTIC
EVENTHIST3378
EVENTHIST3081
EVENTHIST200804
Please check it when you have time.

Thanks! I think I have resolved each issue.

HUN_DESC had a return carriage
MAM_DESC had no commas at the end
SAV_DESC had a double set of commas
u35_GC_VPTACTIC had a return carriage
EVENTHIST3378 I think the problem was the / in the lines of poetry
EVENTHIST3081 again, some /

EVENTHIST this one is a title before all event histories, so I'd need more info

Thanks for spreading the word about Interregnum. We are working on a new history and events for Nippon for Interregnum 2 (the one with the new map) and any ideas and contributions for you and your friends would be greatly appreciated.

Note also that Once I have finished converting the nation files to the Int 2 map ids, I will upload v1.04. While I am no longer working on basic Interregnum, I have found hundreds of bugs in the conversion process and so 1.04 will have all these corrected.

Making a new map in addition to the great mod is huge undertaking and we Japanese admire your tireless work. I will do to help what little I can.

And now, I think there would be a few remaining problems as below:
  • MAM_DESC has one extra semicolon at end of the line.
  • SAV_DESC has one unexpected return carriage in the middle of the line after "...Muslim Caliphate of Al-Andalus."
  • EVENTHIST3378 has two unwanted semicolons in this text: "...The Palace contained a most elaborate courtyard, with a fecund garden in bloom year-round; a zoo; and wonderously ornate fountains and ponds...."
  • EVENTHIST3081 has one unexpected return carriage in the middle of line, between "...One of Wilhelm's first acts after the war was to expand the army by" and "allowing non-German Catholics to serve in the main forces,..."
  • The Last one was my mistake, sorry:
    EVENTHIST200804 has one extra semicolon and an unwanted double quotation mark at the end of the line and it is also followed by an extra blank line.

I visited your site. Looks like your have out in a lot of work explaining Interregnum for Japanese-language users. Well done and thank you.

I am not myself building a new map. We will be using the AGCEEP new map if it EVER gets finished. But I am translating all the Interregnum material accross, which is a huge task.

I have PMed you a link to the most recent version of Interregnum 1. Just for you. :)

Thank you for your PM. I'll test it and post when I come up with any good idea.

As an aside, the EU2 wiki for Japanese isn't mine though often I have been translating and posting interesting information on it. There're many eager players in Japan, one of them contributes his server to our local community. As you may know many Japanese (including me, of course) aren't good at English but we are always looking forward new, interesting MODs. Of course Interregnum is being received very well, on behalf of other Japanese players, thank you!

Suddenly, and for no apparent reason, the game cannot save correctly. Everytime it goes to save, be it manual or autosave, it crashes-to-desktop.

Any leads?

None. And I have not had that comment before, which I would have expected by now.

As I do not have my computer, I cannot check to see if it happens for me, although I have played with that version and was able to save.

have you altered anything in yur journeys through the various files?

The problem stopped. Only changes I had been making were in Centers of Trade, which were simply things to empower lesser states, eg: Reinstating Corfu

However, now I have a different problem that is only occurring to my Bavaria game. When I click on it to load it at the game start, the game freezes. All other save files worked normally.

I have my suspicions (bless you, Firefox Spellcheck!) it is because I trawled through the country descriptions finding the problematic ones before starting the game (I draw this suspicion from the little box displaying all of the country names when you load the file).

Also, as it is better here than in Little guy, the countries and their missing DESC files:

Altmark
Anhalt
Franconia
Galicia
Gotland
Hannover
Il-Khanate
Istria (I don't think this country actually exists at gamestart. . . but it is selectable)
Kiev
Krete
Koln (not actually missing, is only a one liner about it being a cool city)
Languedoc
Leon
Lu Chuan
Milan
Moldavia (doesn't say it is missing, but is entirely blank)
Nazhao
Navarra (see Moldavia)
Porto
Romagna (also has a shield/flag error, it looks like Smolensk's is there)
Silesia
Smolensk
Styria
Toluid Khanate
Tuscany (see Moldavia)
Tyrol
York

Also found a few questionable things:

In the Lollardy Dominates events, it seems Kent and Wessex are mixed up (as in, the event talking about Wessex affects Kent).

One of the events concerning the Lollard Deren has 'wyclif' instead of 'Wyclif'

The description of Maya: Towards the end it mentions west when it should be east (I'm not 100% certain about this one, it may be I am wrong about the description or have the directions backwards)

Thanks, I'll get to all of these when I get my computer back.

When I colonized Honduras as Brittany, the conversion of Ben Zaa event cropped up as expected, but then both results returned (accepting and denying Christianity).

There was something else, but I've forgotten it now.

Enjoy!

Returned?

Not sure what you mean by that.

Hopefully whatever the error was I have already fixed it as I have combed through the Ben Zaa events for I2.

Ah, returned is a computational term. . . let me explain better.

I established a colony in Honduras, meaning I met all requirements necessary to send Diplomissionaries to Ben Zaa, which is the event where they can either sacrifice them or embrace Christianity as my vassal. First they became my vassal, and then rejected Christianity and went to war with me, in a very very short amount of time. (oddly, they remained pagan despite the sacrifice event not having a reinforcement of Pagan)

Another, minor, error as well: Galicia is referred to Asturias in the event where it becomes Asturias. I don't know if this is intentional, but no other nation that can form Asturias is called Asturias there.

And I find it hard to believe that this error has not come to the forefront before:

The game crashes when Asturias is formed, because two of the leaders have the same ID.

OK, I think this is because the event only changes the national religion to Catholic, and with so many provinces still pagan, it switches back and breaks vassal because of the religious differences. I'll update all the events to add more provincereligion changes.

Did you catch the id number?

To be absolutely clear: First the [l]event[/l] where they accept Christianity triggered, and then the event they actually chose "Their 'somethings' will make good sacrifices" triggered. Though, you may have simply been explaining why all of the effects of the first event were fixed (except the empire collapsing into civil war)

I'll do you one better:

Code:
historicalleader = {
	id = { type = 6 id = 39820 }
	category = explorer
	name = "Antonio Canellada"
	startdate = {
		day = 28
		month = october
		year = 1600
	}
	deathdate = {
		day = 3
		month = august
		year = 1610
	}
	rank = 12
	movement = 5
	fire = 2
	shock = 2
	siege = 0
	dormant = yes
}

historicalleader = {
	id = { type = 6 id = 39820 }
	category = conquistador
	name = "Guillermo de Quirós"
	startdate = {
		day = 3
		month = march
		year = 1614
	}
	deathdate = {
		day = 20
		month = july
		year = 1619
	}
	rank = 10
	movement = 2
	fire = 2
	shock = 2
	siege = 0
	dormant = yes
}

Which means that the events tied to them are also probably damaged. Note that changing one to 39821 won't work, as that person also exists.

Correction: The events for Asturian explorers ARE damaged.

Also, the typographical error Astruias occurs multiple times in the Asturias event filed.

I've determined the problem with Asturias:

Someone got lazy and copied and pasted the monarchs and leaders from the possible creators of Asturias directly into its files, and so the only way to form Asturias without crashing the game is to annihilate all of the Asturian states in one go. I've started renumbering the monarchs and leaders.
