Inventions Events causes crashes........

Hello so i have this problem
I have research all (1 level ) then i was woundered that i play 4 years whitout a invention event . because i play under vista i have some crashes before but that was irrelevant.
I have SP1 also the latest drivers and i play in XP SP2 Mode) so relative not so many crashes , but from that time that the ressources level1 was finished the crashes improves ...
So now because i was argly why i not get the inventions events i put only on these events the settings popup and pause so everytime it crashes now , first comes for 1 second the pause button than the crash so for my ,this events causes the crash.....
How can I fix this pls help !!!

So after i has checked and installs another last drivers for the machine the problem still persits . Also i read your first guide for crashes but i must say its not possible under vista to install directx v.9.0c over directx 10 . It show it that it does(Install window) but it doesnt ..... (look at Dxdiag)

Not directly but he say the game dont support dx 10. So for me and another people he means to install dx 9.0c on vista to get more stability and thats not possible. But please help me in my problem let this discussion about dx because in that stage of problem that i am the game is for me unplayable.........

I am not sure exactly what your problem is, but the DX9 version that comes with vista is not fully complete, that is why you need to install it as well.

My Problem is in first line that i cannot get any inventions because everytime i get a crash when they appear. And i cannot play whitout that because all the minor nations (KI) has at the time the events and they build as crazy elephants all that he cans.
In the other thread link that I give you here i also asked if is possible to cheat the inventions events via the console or if is possible that if you load a saved game with another nation that the ki let the inventions happens for the nation that i play at the time... Or the best way how to solve to get the I.Events whitout crash....

I dont know exactly about dx but i have install the version from the game CD and in Dxdiag show me Dx 10 not Dx 9.0c . That what I know is that Vista comes out directly with dx 10 , dx 9.0c is the version from Win XP ..... But correct me if Im wrong.......

So other events works fine and whitout crash. This are the only events that causes crashes. (And that is for me so argly because i cant build anything )

Also i get crashes from the diplomacy sometimes when i scroll it down .

Another Question :
I would also ask you if that is a bug that would be fixed in the next patch or how is possible to do it.
-How is possible to exchange a captured character of a nation against another one of mine or against money ? I only can free them in my Nations Diplomacy ....
-Also how can i free or rebuy my captured characters from a different nation ?
