Using Windows 7 64-bit. When I try to play the game, the mouse cursor is usually invisible. It becomes temporarily visible when I click something, but quickly disappears again moments after. I've tried changing compatibility modes, but that doesn't seem to help. Tried running in and out of administrator mode, to no avail. I'm stumped.

Quick Update: For anyone experiencing this problem, if you manage to navigate your way to the Campaign selection screen and pick one of them, the cursor seems to become visible. I am just starting with the game, so I don't know if it will stay like that, but I wanted to let everyone who experiences this to try going a bit further into the game before giving up.

If I have a chance, I will try to confirm later whether it works (keep in mind, it never seems to work on the main screen!)

Well, the verdict seems to be in:

I played CKDV for a few hours after installing it (including the DVIP mod) and after making my way past the intro screen, I experience no invisible cursor problems! Hopefully this observation will be helpful to anyone else that suffered a moment of panic similar to mine!

Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me. The cursor does become temporarily visible once I get a campaign started, but quickly disappears again.

EDIT: Actually, it's weird. In the campaign, if I move the cursor to the top of the screen it is visible. However, about an inch down from the top the cursor seems to disappear "behind" something.

Really strange... I have to say that I am so thankful that I am experiencing the problem to a much lesser degree (one that makes the game completely playable). I would have been really frustrated having just bought the game if I couldn't get it to work.

I posted here hoping that this might help and encourage others to go past the main screen. I'm really sorry to hear that it hasn't worked for you!
