Well, it wasn't me who created those numbers, but they are interesting.
Any way you could show the source for that info?

Sure! Here is the source for those numbers between 9000 BC and 540 AD (actually until 1845 AD):

politics.ie/threads/the-population-of-ireland-from-ancient-times-until-the-great-famine.156856/

^^^
Maybe you guys can contact each other and publish a joint estimate since 9000 BC till present?

=====

This is also a good source but some numbers might be too low (check the chapter about Ireland):

Ok interesting, thanks. I see that guy's forum thread. A lot of his estimates are similar to mine, but there are significant differences also.

It's mostly within the same ballpark though. But like I said, before any census data it's all estimates. There are low counts and high counts.

Whenever the Irish famine comes up, I like to pull attention to Sir Charles Trevelyan:
Sir Charles Trevelyan said:
The judgement of God sent the calamity to teach the Irish a lesson, that calamity must not be too much mitigated. …The real evil with which we have to contend is not the physical evil of the Famine, but the moral evil of the selfish, perverse and turbulent character of the people.

I tend to go to Swift's A Modest Proposal.

And here I thought he was talking about the calamity as consisting in the English... Greatest plague befallen on the Irish for sure.
