Ironman save game bugged- "Holland does not exist"

Playing an Ironman Holland game, and when I loaded into the game, my rulers at first were of the wrong culture and religion (Chinese/Confucian). It was odd, and I restarted the game. Now I am unable to load into the game. When I attempt to hit "PLAY" the following pops up: "Holland does not exist".

Is there any way to fix this or is my file boinked?

Would be a little disappointing if I lost the file. I was making all of the moneys and having a fun time hanging out with windmills.

Nope! Started a few days ago. The only thing I can think of was I looked at the historical boundaries of Netherlands in the alternate start date in the game lobby. Did that do it?

So just swapping to the historical bookmark messed up a separate save file? That's disappointing..

I meant to look at a new game from a historical bookmark but looks like you can change the date loading the saved game and this messes up save files. Unfortunate.
