Researching things I don't really want, but they of the 4 - 5 options it's the one that will cost least time and free up a slot.
Micromanaging the outputs because a district here or a building there could could whizz up my output or drain my marginal excess. Does it have to be so complicated ?
The whole vassal thing; this is set in the future, not Medieval Europe . . .
Maybe Empire X makes Empire Y a political 'satellite' influencing its politics, perhaps controlling it to an extent, but something more like membership of the Warsaw Pact not the Duke of Brittany as Vassal to the King of France.
The war fatigue, settlement, outcome mechanics. Which make me reluctant to prosecute wars and hope that I avoid them.
And the three pirate hordes all there to be discovered at game start, all in one star system, sitting there doing nothing, going no-where. What's that about are they all in stasis, how does their economy work, what species are they, do they recruit, do none of them desert, etc. ?
