Hello, I'm going to upload some assets via asset editor to the community. Some assets are fully my own production but some I bought from others 3d artist and I can work with them only under certain conditions:

1.Asset that I upload (mesh&textures) is contained in proprietary format that cannot be opened in a publicly available software application and from which the the 3d model cannot be extracted or decompiled without reverse engineering
2.The software or game (in this case Cities Skyline) has no functionality for end users to import any open 3D file format or export material

I already asked Paradox but they only recomend to post my questions here. Can somebody please confirm that Cities Skyline as a software/game satisfy this conditions, I need this confirmation before I start with my project

Thank You in advance!

I don't about encryption, but it's easy to take a model and texture out of the game. ModTools can do that and is available to anyone who has bought the game. There's also a tool to unpack .crp files and achieve something similar. So I'd say condition 1 isn't fulfilled. Anyone can also open the asset in the editor and upload their own version to the Steam Workshop (though you should be able to get it taken down since it would be without your permission), which requires no mods at all.
