I am really enjoying this game but I was wondering if it was possible to purchase the expansion separately?

I would prefer to not buy the full game again for the extra features, which I am told, are excellent.

Thanks

Yes, of course - in fact that was the only way to get it before Gold came out. But you do have to get it from the same place you got the base game. Where was that?

A shop. Unfortunately they say they can not get them in as they are not on there system. I get the feeling the game was old stock when I bought it. Does anyone have a link to an online site that sells the addon for the retail version of the game?

I guess there is no easy way to get it on its own now.

Oh well I will just get the gold edition when it is cheap on steam or something. To be honest I think this game was used before but they say it was new.

Anyway still enjoying it

\So you have a physical copy of Rome. There were no physical copies of VV ever made, only download. You have to use the GamersGate VV download to expand your Rome game. Or, as others have said, just buy Gold - the advantage there is it's a single installation, you can never lose it, and it's probably cheaper depending on sales and so on. It means you can buy it from anywhere you find it cheap, not just GG.

Is it possible in Steam to buy the game and gift it later, if i havent downloaded it yet?

Yeah, you can select 'Purchase as a Gift' after you add it to your cart. Then it stays in your inventory until you either add it to your own library or send it to somebody else.
