After a possible nuclear war does not mean game over life still goes no mater how desperate it maybe and considering most major powers and alot of non mayja powers and underground facilities to survive the nuclear holocaust.

The game is supposed to be about the Cold War. It's not a post-apocalyptic strategy game. Once civilization is destroyed it's game over.

I have seen some implications from the developer that it might not be completely over because of nuclear war.

You can still command from underground and not all the countries on the planet will be obliterated.

People take nuclear was a bit too far at times. If nation A decides to nuke nation B and B retaliates by nuking nation A then all that will happen is two nations suddenly become a very bad place to live in. They can still exist after a nuclear attack, just expect about 200 years recovery.

In a cold war the assumption is that nation A and B nuke the crap out of each other and the rest of the world goes nuts and decides to nuke everyone else. A few nations will bight the dust but anyone not apart of an alliance suddenly becomes the new world power.

If nukes are represented in this game then I imagine the effects will probably be destruction of all facilities in the area, loss of all population that were in the area and any military units. Aside form that I dopubt there will be any repercussions.

What about radioactivity? I think some nuclear missiles lauch should be possible, but at some point, it would only be the end of the world. I think the limit should be extremely tight and that a nuclear missile should do great damages. If one of them fall on Moscow, Washington, Berlin, Paris, etc.. the zone would be unhabitable for the rest of the game. I don't like games that diminish the nuclear missiles efficiency to make the game more enjoying.

Will that include evil biker gangs and Rat-People mutants?

Oh I agree with you but implementing a feature like that is hard. Troops should still be able to pas through though but with a much longer lasting attrition rate. The likely hood is that the game will carry on post nuclear war but the true effects of a nuclear device are very hard or impossible to implement.

Nuclear warheads generate very little long term radioactive fallout (except salted bombs which were very rare and impractical) - after 1 month affected area should in most cases be safe. Or do you want to suggest that Hiroshima and Nagasaki are still inhabbitable areas? Also nukes carried by ICBM we mostly around 250KT - single warhead wouldnt be sufficient to destroy large city - you would need 10+ wartheads minimum to destroy for example Washington D.C.

Chemical weapons have much longer lasting effects than nukes.
