Is it true that CORE for HoI2 won't include events like in CORE for HoI1? I recently downloaded CORE for my recently-bought HoI1, and I find the new events to be the best part; if not the entire selling point.

Apparently: not in the first version, the focus is on the tech tree, things relating to the tech tree... and something else I forget.

The current plan is to have a limited number of events in the first release. This is mostly a time issue. We have been committing a majority of our time to developing a new tech system and integrating the OOB (Order Of Battle) files for each country.
There are new events that will be included. I know of a new Destroyers For Bases chain of events which takes advantage of the some of the new commands which are available with HoI2. There are also some events which people are working on right now which should be ready for inclusion with the initial release.

If there are events from HoI1 that you really want included, feel free to convert them to an HoI2 standard and format. That is the thing that is needed. The more events that can be converted, the more that can be included in the initial release.

One event chain I really love is the whole re-occupation of the Rhineland one. Where France can threaten germany with war, and poland can backstab germany.
