Greetings Paradoxians!

A friend and I love Paradox games (and strategy games in general), and we're always looking for a decent multiplayer strategy experience. The trouble we find with most Paradox games is that multiplayer games are slow-going and the lack of a common goal precludes competition/cooperation.

I've heard that Sengoku ups the pace a bit, and I figure that the common goal of controlling Japan gives players a means for direct competition. Teaming up with the AI to conceive a plot against my friend sounds pretty exciting!

So I ask you, how is the multiplayer in this game? Does it work as well as I've imagined here?

Note to moderators: I've asked this here (as opposed to the multiplayer subforum) because I do not yet own the game, so I do not have access to that subforum.

Well I just went ahead and bought the game; I got enough blue coins to make the purchase while the game is on sale. To sweeten the deal, it turns out my friend received the game yesterday as a gift. So I guess the best way for us to find out about the multiplayer now is try it and see!

Let me know how the multiplay works, I'm interested in playing all Paradox titles in multiplayer but I got all kinds of errors or crashed before. Hope this game would work better.

funnily enough, i have thought about the same things and came to the same conclusions as you. the clear set goal for every single player gives the game a competitive race. i would love to get an MP game going to check this out.
