or you could also call them zonable pedestrian paths.

I would basically like something which looks like a paved pedestrian path which pedestrians use - but also service vehicles can use.

Traffic++ has too much other stuff going on (and compatibility issues with other mods) I just want ped/service roads on their own.

* the reason I want these (one of the reasons..there are many uses for them) the main reason is I'd like to have some of my public buildings like museums, stations etc. front onto parks and plazas rather than fronting directly onto roads - like The National Gallery fronting onto Trafalgar Square in London :

I've seen a couple mods that do this (Traffic++, Pedestrian Paths which is long since deprecated) but they always seem to break when a new update is released. That's why I haven't bothered with any of the network mods - anything breaks, and there goes your city. I really hope CO will give us this in the base game to ensure we can use such a feature without worrying about having to throw away a city.

I think traffic++ has too much overhead. I see noticeable slow down using it (on an i7 @ 4ghz..!) - it does alot of other stuff that I dont need - so not worth the huge overhead just for simple zonable ped paths.
