Sengoku has a soft spot in my library because of its unique pacing and smooth execution, but it is so very thin on content. Mods are great and all, but I see all these other games with all this DLC and I'm thinking, why not Sengoku?

Is there a patch or any kind of DLC in the works for this one, or is it pretty much done?

Pretty much done unfortunately :( Like Rome, it didn't sell enough for PI to keep working on it.
Which is very much a shame. I also have a soft spot for it and would like to see at least some improvements (like additional events... God we need more events in this game). Well, at least it is polished enough that it doesn't require patching or more radical balancing.

And more recently it seems that March of the Eagles is suffering the same fate as Sengoku. Rome at least got one expansion, but Sengoku and MotE got none and I feel that Sengoku was testing platform for some of the CKII's gameplay concepts, while MotE was testing platform for EUIV's coalitions. I hope that they wouldn't completely abandon these games, because while smaller in scale those are fun to play also.

Sengoku is pretty much a complete, polished, balanced game though. It just needs some random events and a few minor bug-fixes to go from good to great.

I think it could benefit from expansion, personally I find the diplomacy bit lacking and there could be more imperial/shogunate stuff.

As much as I'd love to see some, I seriously doubt it now.

I'd be happy if I could get my hands on a Sengoku -> EU4 save converter (official or otherwise). Seems much easier than most converters, and I'd love to continue RPing the clans I've played in Sengoku.

I suggested that recently. Only few fans bothered to comment and their reaction was: "Why?" http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?706490-How-about-Sengoku-EUIV-converter

I had thought about bringing that up also, but didn't because I figured that's what the fan response would be from a Western game focusing on Europe. So you're not alone! :) If I could play in EU IV as the Chiba, that would seal the deal on my buying it (despite what friends have told me is poor gameplay and AI for Asian nations-and African, and Oz, and...-vs Europe).

Tatsunoshi, are you part of Chiba clan by any chance?
