I didn't allow the Grofaz event to fire in my game, so I can make lots of cheap transports.

I have a question regarding my next game, in which I expect I will allow the event to fire.

When you start the game, you get some time to do stuff, then a few days later the event fires and increases transport IC cost by a huge amount.

I would like to know if it would be permitted to start a long serial transport build before the event fires.

Another possible exploit ..

When getting the "Legion Condor to Spain" event, there should be 2 air squadrons (KG53 and JG2) removed from Germany.
However, I renamed those 2 units just to see what happened - they never where taken from me, but I received the full 3 squadrons when Legion Condor came back.

Yes that is an exploit :). We know about it but we did not think it was urgent to be corrected.

Well if you are playing with the scripting... you can also add 100 armor divisions if you like or script an event where you inherit all the countries in the world in january 1936 :)

Guess you got me wrong there ;)
I didn't change the unit names in the script, but by the normal in-game means :rolleyes:

But THAT messed up the script (I guess), since the unit names the script is referring to no longer existed .. and I think quite a lot of people do rename units, and thereby be exploiting without them even knowing.

I think you can do the same thing with the lend lease events as USA to keep your old destroyers.

I am not interested in this stuff because I want to do it, I am interested because I want to know which units not to rename, so the game plays as it is supposed to.

Don't worry, I did get you right. The thing is that I do the scripting based on what I would do, and I never rename air units. But I guess you are right, some do change the names. I will check if we can define the event differently although I doubt it.

The destroyers is a HOI event so I am not familiar with the code there. I will need to check it out. If someone can do so please post it back here.

If you should happen to be unable to change the handling, maybe you should at least add "no unit renaming" to house rules?
Because personally, I'm renaming almost every unit ingame except ships .. I'm kinda perfectionist in that :p

Actually I already did :) and also change some events to prevent further exploits (you can even delete the units that you know will be replaced, as the command that checks if they exist does not work at all).
