Looking at the screenshots again, I found myself looking at this quirky fellow.

stellaris chirpy.jpg

He isn't present in the third screen but that looks like a different build or something without the timewheel.

He's placed at the top- the usual location for advisor icons in some games- out of the way of the game.

He has no sharp surfaces for tutees to hurt themselves on.

He's an animated portrait (changes between screens).

He's present in the gameplay of multiple races.

"How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?"

Haha, well I think both paradox and the developers of city skylines know that chirpy is not a popular elememt. So if that was some chirpy like advisor im sure it is a joke :)

that robot looks oddly adorable :D

Now I just hope the tutorials/hints he gives are actually helpful. otherwise It'll quickly become annoying!

If I am being serious I could see it being a sort of information resource, pointing out things you might have missed when the game gets too large. "Data points to a rebellion brewing on Regulus VI." or "Sensors report an enemy fleet just crossed our boarder in the Antares Sector." since the game scale will just get bigger and bigger and it would be hard keeping everything in mind or under observation, especially in real time.

But what if my species has a burning hatred of AIs and would never even consider listening to one? :0

Good, I looooooved Chirpy. Mecha-Chirpy is bound to be at least twice as useful!
The double of nothing is still nothing ;)

If it's anything like Chirper, no matter which of the three FTL methods you choose at the beginning of the game you'll get people angrily chirping at you every five minutes for the rest of the game for not picking one of the other two methods. ;)

Edit: That's a little unfair to Chirper. It'd probably be more like every ten minutes. :p
