Is it true you cannot be a Muslim state? I consider myself a faithful paradox fan. I have EU 1 & 2, HOI, Vicky and even Legion. On most of these I try to be Muslim country. I mean their just soo fun to play. The Ottoman advance in EU, defending yourself as the Turks or Persia in HOI, reforming Muslim countries into Mega powers in Vicky...

But then I read that you can't play as an Islamic country! Shocking :rofl:

Please tell me I'm wrong and if I am wrong why can't you play as a Muslim country (I wanted to create a vast Muslim empire and convert to EU2... :( )

I guess it is true ;)

Atleast until someone figures out how to mod it..
Since afaik they ought to work under mostly similar rules...
 
For reasons of game design and subsequent decisions about implementing the mechanics it is not possible to play a Muslim nation. Please read the stickies at the top of this forum where the official information about this (and related subjects) can be found.
 
What! I wanted you to tell me I was wrong and Paradox would never release a game where you could not control most of the fun variables. :mad:

How hard would it be to mod it in? If it’s easy could Paradox maybe adjust it slightly to put them in? :)

I mean crusading sounds like fun but it would be even better to repulse the invaders and launch you own counter crusades wouldn’t it?

A moslem crusade? There's a contradiciton in terms if ever I saw one. :rofl:
The game is called Crusader Kings, why should it be possible to play a moslem state?
 
It is not possible and, I believe, not modable - although undoubtedly there will be attempts made in the scenario forum to circumnavigate this.

As I asked, please read the stickies as they contain direct quotes from the game designers.
