I am having an issue to play with my friends in multiplayer.
We used to play comfortably on 3 speed but around July it we only could play only on 1 speed which made it almost unplayable.
After several updates it didn't seem to change.
What can be done to fix it?

Does it matter who is host?

If you play with different opponents, do you get the same issue?
 
If you play with different opponents (ie neither of those two), do you get the same issue?
 
Right, but I'm asking if you can do that as a diagnostic step. And if possible, that your friends do the same.

The point is to see if this is a general game problem, or a problem with you or one of your friends' setups.
