After seeing some mentions in patch notes about problems with MP stability being fixed we decided to give it a try again.

But sadly 1 person get disconnected almost instantly, and then again after 5 mins, causing them to quit.
After about 30 minutes in before even getting any prisoners, the other person also DC'd, causing us to give up on playing.

MP has been broken for us for years now, at this point advertising the game to have MP is a bit dishonest and I am very disappointed.

If I can provide any form of testing or logs to assist in diagnosing/fixing the issue I will.
 
Numerous other users have confirmed that MP patch fixed essentially all their MP problems, especially the instant disconnect you see. So your issue I guess must have some other cause. So far as I can see, the game log does not record MP traffic or errors.

What exact game version do you see now? Current is The Tower 1.03

Are any mods involved?

I think from your account you have 3 players involved. If you test this game in pairs (so say A-B, A-C, B-C ), do all three trials have such issues? This is to see if perhaps one of you has a problem in this area.

There are no mods involved

I will ask people to do some testing, but when playing last night I(A) was hosting, and both client players (B&C) got DC'd at least once but never at the same time.

I will do some "trails" and report back.

As a start they should confirm PrisonArchitect64.exe is allowed through all their firewalls. Perhaps test it while connected via a VPN or mobile phone hotspot, if possible.

No, B also got DC'd in the same manner as C in the initial session, so I have no reason to believe it is confined to C. If the issue reoccurs when we end up playing again I will have them test that
