Description of the Problem: It seems like the cursor is having trouble selecting the trade post icon bottom when you click them in the new Trade window. Pop up information when you put your cursor over the icon flashes several times per second, but the cursor cant seem to keep the icon selected to keep the pop up information from staying up. It just selects it then deselects it as if your cursor was repeatedly moving off and on the trade post icon no matter where you place the icon(but repeatedly and several times per second).

Thinking about it is probably is a bug related to how the trade post icon pops up and overlaps with the holdings area. Don't really know the code or anything like that but consider the feature is new to the DLC and the fact you can easily select trade posts in the trade posts listings in your patrician family list in the Republic tab it makes me think that's what it is. Just my layman's opinion on it.

Workaround: I keep clicking frantically at the trade post icon until my clicks match up when the pop up information appears very difficult since like i said the pop up information flashes off and on several times per second. Eventually you can get the message to build a trade outpost.

This describes my problem well.

I am running this on a 2012 MacbookPro Retina

i7 2.7 Ghz
16 GB Ram
1GB Vram, Nvidia GT650M
OSX 10.8.2

Checksum XJSG
 
There are two problems. One is the flashing selector, and the other is people who can't select trade posts at all. I have no option to build trade posts in empty coastal provinces, nor can I select my own trade posts that I start the game with in provinces I currently own. I have verified my cache and uninstalled/reinstalled the game to no avail. I have all major DLCs, run on a windows through steam, and have never had any issue with any paradox game in the past.
 
^ Same thing, this bug is basicly stopping me from enjoying the DLC i purchased. So far its been over a week and im starting to feel like there abandoning the problem. I also have a problem where the sword of islam dlc is not showing up in the game. Even though i clicked the checkbox for the sword of islam before i booted up the game

Why do you think they're abandoning the problem? Paradox told us (in this very thread) that the patch will be here today or tomorrow. I assume the people asking for an ETA want Paradox to be more precise, but I'd rather have them working on the fix than being on the forum. It doesn't mean I'm not disappointed not being able to play the DLC though.
 
You did NOT want the patch as it was a few days ago. Paradox are not wantonly cruel, if the patch was in a releasable state THEY WOULD HAVE RELEASED IT BY NOW. Jeez.

It's a little frustrating to wait over a week to enjoy something you've paid for. This issue basically breaks the game for anyone suffering from it and that, in my opinion at least, deserves some kind of hotfix instead of waiting to fine tune balance issues and other things associated with normal patching process. At this point I'd just be content with a comment saying the issue has at least been identified.
 
I should say first that I am grateful that Paradox is so helpful and responsive to our requests. However, now it's getting to be late this week and I'm anxious to get the patch! I want to play a Republic! :)
 
Hello,

after installing the 1.091 patch the issue with the tradepost is gone. BUT, there is still a tooltip problem for the familiy name in the tradezone window (to the right of the tradepost button, under the republic name). The tooltip is flickering. This is only a minor issue, but irritating.

I still can't build a trade post... :(

Edit : Ok, it's fine. I thought the patch was installed when I saw the patch notes on steam but it wasn't. Sorry and thank you for the fix :)
