Issues with New Patch (Jan 30th) Post HERE

Hey All!

Today a patch was deployed in preparation for new content, and it appears to have some unintended issues involving crashing and inability to load saves. We're investigating them urgently and hope to have a resolution quickly.

In the meantime, you can help us a TON by posting a full bug in this thread, or forum. Please include as much relevant information as possible. This helps us to reproduce the issues and identify the problem - leading to a quick fix.

Since the update (XBox One) I'm unable to load saves or new games, it continuously hangs around 90%

• I have uninstalled and reinstalled
• I have uninstalled then cleared the cache and removed all the game data, reinstalled and still the same result

FWIW I have the enterprise edition with game pass and all DLCs

Hope there's a patch coming soon

Since the update today (ps4) I can't load new games or old saves. The loading bar will freeze around 90%. The screen freezes. However I can hear the sounds like normal (chirper sounds and water flowing etc).

Also reinstalled twice (dlc and base game)

My trains monorails metros and trams are bugged out some are spawning with only 1 or 2 coaches and it's messing up my public transport.
Also I started a new map to mss around on and I noticed that some houses started to randomly despawn when outside a district with the European theme.

I can load my saved city (PS4). But I noticed another problem though.

Hurray for the tree brush, but something seems to be broken when placing single trees. It's not possible anymore to place a tree close to a road or a building, where this used to be possible before the update.

There are at least two new game breaking bugs on PS4:

• The game always freezes completely when leaving the 'City Info' view. Exit game required.
• Zoned buildings will on occasion randomly rebuild and disappear several times as if they are stuck in a loop.

I also couldn't notice a cosmetic difference in building styles after changing district-specific building styles. I'm not sure if this feature works or not, but please confirm.

I have the same issue with my zoned buildings.

I think your are onto something. I also noticed the bug right after playing around with building style settings in different districts.

Can no longer rename city, When renaming a city the game crashes when exiting city info section.

Cant place trees, near another object, they dont appear but shows an item is there as you cannot place anything else where the invisible tree is.

Drive car feature wont allow you through tunnels.

P.S we seem to be missing a floor painter? The ability to paint the floor with concrete, sand, earth, etc.

For me when I wanted to increase taxes (low residential) and hold the right d-pad, it was from time to time jumping down to the office bar and back. So it raised it littble bit too.

Why do "mods" on Xbox One disable achievements ?
It's just assets like on PC, and on PC assets (buildings, vehicles) don't disable achievements, only real mods (that can affect gameplay) disable achievements on PC.

Can not load new or saved games. Gets to 90% and freezes, music is still playing in background though

Does this mean you are no longer looking into the possibility that the update may have issues? I should point out that I am able to play every other game without any problem and haven't experienced a black screen.. only issues with CS since installing the update. and while it may be a coincidence, MS state that their issue was resolved several hours ago, however I'm still facing the same issues with CS.

I have a Playstation 4 console and I have the same issue: the loading screen freezes when he hits the 90% (I guess). But when he hits the 90%, the loading bar moves up a little and again freezes. I hear the chirper sound and the sound of the wind/water. It doesn’t matter if it’s a new game or an old save. It’s just the loading screen which doesn’t corporate with me. Last night I didn’t experience any issues. It all started with the latest patch.

World wide Xbox live issues have nothing to do with it. He has no idea what he is talking about. They need to fix this ASAP.

After the update I can't load games or start new ones, it just freezes up at about 90% xbox is working fine, no problems with xbox live.

Of course not, just letting people know that there is a second possible source of problems on the XBox.
