It can't be I'm the only one with this problem

As far as I can tell, I have now been researching the problem I have with HoI for 2 weeks, and I am the only one on the face of Earth who is having this issue.

I CTD (that means Crash To Desktop) when I click on Valkyrienet on my WinXP machine. Now, because I am CTD'ing... that guarantees that it has nothing to do with network connectivity. this thread :

Does not apply to my problem. Anyone think of what else it could be?

Let me also say this: this is the ****only**** problem I have with this machine. I can internet/LAN or any other type of connect to any other game, even HoI as long as I stay out of VNet.... I can direct connect to MP HoI games I just can't go thru VNet because I get CTD without fail everytime... I can't even enter the VNet lobby. Thx in advance.

Your right, I sometimes CTD when I enter valknet too. However, only most of the times. Sometimes I'm able to get on, but I can't play online anyway.

I have the same problem, either there's no one on valkyrienet or something is very wrong. I NEVER find any other players. I'd really like to test my skills against other human players. I also have Windoze XP.
