Surviving Mars, r u ok?

I'm in love with the game. Lightly obsessed by it. It's just kinda worrisome that we'd get a trailer for a new update without an accompanying dev diary (though I guess this is only published by Paradox instead of completely run by 'em,) especially when it was the only PDXCON trailer with actual gameplay and has the least views of them all. Maybe I just like dev diaries too much and feel like they do wonders for people going wild in forum discussions.

So.. Obsessed.. Need more.. Information.. Withdrawal.. Intensifying...

That makes sense, though.
as it is it wouldn't harm haemimont and other if the used the same policy of dev diaries as pdx: i.e. far more frequent updates on what everyone's up to. Keep people interested and enthused (sp?) about your product (and what is -I hope- a product you're proud of)

That probably depends on the community and the pace of things. I think there's only one community manager and if giving information about a feature they've decided not to implement (or anything that might be taken negatively) comes up, it's possible to create a create a storm. Such things are usually easier to avoid than ask forgiveness for; plus you've gotta think about team morale. If the team decides to, say, push off an idea to implement families and everyone freaks out.. It's not really good for anyone.
