I was playing the French and Indian War scenario for EUI last night and was loving every minute of it. It was like buying the game all over again (I actually went a few months without). And the 1683 one seems just as good.

EUI is better because.... too much hype on EUII (overdid alot of things)

You can annex ANY country through one spectacular military pheat (sp) (not that widdling down to one province BS of EUII)

Very easy mod creating and editing (If it can get any easier than EUII, it's EUI....)

EUI you are not forgotten.

And I think paradox should have left EUI stay on the market for at least a year and a half, not rush out EUII 10 months later. Got to go....

That annexation thing is obviously the most important. Yes indeedy.

WC rules. :D

Bah, humbug. Why just the other day I turned down a peace offer giving me two provinces! Quick WC is so overrated. :p

edit: ooh, my 2^10 post

ahah, ahah. Told you :D Maybe EUIII should have a "three provinces or less policy" like Victoria. A big country, such as England and its colonies, would be rediculess (sp) to be able to completely annex in one peace. France, Spain, Por. etc would be too. But then again, how can you actually conquer these Crusaders of Colonization all at once? Ahhh, the age old dilema.... Such as (I'm going to say it...) free the slaves, put up with welfare (or) keep them as slaves, free labour and... NO welfare?!?! Stupid Lincoln!

The main difference between EUI and II was that I was addicted to EUI but still play EUII...

Take control of all of their provinces (including colonial cities, if they have any), and click to annex them in the peace negotiation screen. You have to have Forced Annexation or whatever the option is called turned on, however.

If you change the scenario before starting it, so that only the nation you intend to play is selectable, you can annex all other nations. :)
Yeah, what he said. Some scenarios, namely the IGC, have utilities to change the playable countries and some other options, but in most cases you'll have to physically change the scenario textfile.

Copy a scenario file to make sure you have a backup in case something goes wrong.

Then open the copy you want to edit with notepad, look for lines that say things like FRA = { blah blah blah } (It will cover several lines in the editor)

Delete the "tag" (FRA, ENG, etc) and everything behind it, up until and including the closing bracket.

Do this for all seven tags of the seven countries that you want to get rid off.

Save and test by choosing your edited scenario.

If it works, you can now also open the Scenario file again and change the tag to be of any other country that you would like to play, no matter how big or small, as long as it exists. You'll be having the wrong descriptions and hints while getting into the game, but should have the right shield up above to click on before clicking start game.
