Installed the Latest DIAM for DD, and ran a few hands off games to see what happens. (Normal/Aggressive)
While I am sure someone will post a reply saying it is perfectly historic, why does the Italian army 40 divisions strong with HQ and armour divisions, stop just before Alexandria which is defended by 2 Divisions of Ugandan Colonials?
Doesn't even try to dislodge them.
It just sits there until the British over run East Africa and build up a for large enough to push them back to Libya, which is about a year later.
2 separate games this happened with Italy loosing all of North Africa in the end. I assume the DIAM is supposed to increase the fight the Italian put up on an Operational level at least. So have I not install the mod correctly or not?
The DIAM installed event fires at least. Surely if when the Italians join the War if they have close to half a million men facing a few division of Colonial Levies in Africa and another 100,000 or so sitting in Sicily they would make more than a half hearted advance until they met resistance.
The Italian AI also had sufficient Armies in North Italy and Albania for when It attacked Yugoslavia with Germany when the Pack of Steel is broken and follows on with Greece. In Both Cases the Italians seem pretty static but that just could be because they can't take the ground as opposed to not trying.
