I switched the music off 'cos it was getting a bit irritating but then I felt that the game wasn't the same so I switched it back on (this is via the Setup icon in amongst all the other EU2 filles that sit in my C drive) but I'm not getting any music anymore! I've tried turning the volume up and down but that ain't working either. Whats wrong?

Possibly a problem with the configuration file that holds those options; I forget the exact name but something like config.eu ? Make sure it's not flagged Read Only, and you can open it up with notepad to make sure the option you're changing is updating in there.

You were right about it being Read only, but even after changing that the music still isn't on.
Could it mabey have something to do with me recently moving EU2 from my C drive to my E drive???

Yes, possibly the old location is still in the registry.

Thought so, which file is it that tells all the music what to do?
Not sure what you mean or what this question has to do with your problem. There is a file listing the names of the music files and in what century of the game to play them; again I can't recall the name offhand but you can see it in the main EU2 dir quite easily, it's a short text file.

I got it fixed: There was a text file that was still telling the computer that the music files were still in the C-drive, so I just changed it.
Thanks for your help.
