There was some reports about population beeing 4x bigger than should be, almost all off them corrected in the last two patches, but the files with the string Javan seems to be at 4x too.

Code:
java_javanfolk.csv
java_javanmahayana.csv
java_javansunni.csv
molucks_javan.csv
sumatera_javansunni.csv
sunda_sunni.csv
sunda_folk.csv
timor_javan.csv

Could someone confirm as a BUG or it is Real.

Thanks

Hmm a first glance at the files tells me that the files seem to be correct. That is, there are files for Javanese Mahanayans, Pagans and Sunni for seperate states: Java, The Molucks, Sumatra, Sunda and Timor. The .INC start up files are screwed to that whole East Indies show up as one state, while there should be at least five or six. POP's ARE seperated by state. Weird huh? There's however a possibility that the files ARE wrong, i.e. wrong numbers INSIDE the files..... but the files themselves are correct..

On a side note: I've fixed the State thing for Dutch East Indies for VIP

I'll check but this is not an unusual situation for areas with no strong national state. POPs are done by ethnicity / religion over a region rather than by nation as most other POP files are done.

I've been talking about the size of them, not if they are state or not.

Oh ok - i'll check. Thought Java population was about right now though

There was some info posted in the VIP - East Asia/Oceania thread from a history of Indonesia, putting the population of Java somewhere between 7 and 9 million in the 1830s. Other sources I've seen are similar, listing around 7 million in 1830 and over 25 million in 1900. The population of Java in the GC is currently 32 million in 1836.

No, they are not at 4x, or the Fallout_Boy date is wrong? Cause if Netherlands liberate Java, they loose 32M in population and it should be 8M.
