Hey there Paradox folks,

I'm trying to play Imperator for the first time. I downloaded it on steam and tried to run it but encountered the attached error. I uninstalled, restarted my PC, reinstalled, and still am receiving this error whenever I try to start it. Any help would be appreciated. My documents file is in the normal location, I haven't moved it, so no idea what could be causing this.

Thanks,
Austin

Ended up being able to fix this error in a strange way.

I uninstalled imperator and steam and then I manually removed additional files in "appdata" or anything that might be from paradox.
I reinstalled steam and installed CK2 to install the paradox launcher through that install instead.
CK2 worked fine.
So I then installed imperator with the paradox launcher already installed by the CK2 install.
Now imperator runs perfect.

That error usually mean the Windows User Documents folder is not where is should be. So i don't really understand how what you did helped, but I'm glad it did!
