Being a total noob when it comes to modding I am wondering if anyone has any experience with JSGME with HoI2 and if they think it would be a good tool for moding AoD?

JSGME is not a tool for modding but for easily switching between mods, patches, graphics and so on.
I'm using it with HoI and see no reason for it to be incompatible with any game because of the way it works (copy mod files over original game files making a back-up copy of these before that).
