June 3rd patch-My king won't die.

I'm playing Toulouse in 1066 scenario (as i started playing a few days ago, i play easy/coward). I took over the french king title. My current king (i'm around 1220) is now 113 years old, continue having kids (in fact his last child is 7 years old), and he won't die. Each time i try to kill him with F12/die, the game crashes down to windows (even if i try this loading another county, duchy or kingdom). My king just won't let me play this game with someone else than him as monarch...

LOL if you started as Toulouse and ended up as French king, why would you want him to die? It sounds like the only solution may be to go into the game file and edit his death date and see if that works.

Nothing wrong with being 113 years old, it could theoretically happen, but crash with using die on him?

Is it the same man that you made king of France in the first place?

If yes, did you save and reload as proper right after becoming king of France?

If no, I suppose it could be caused by him "dying" while you were still in the state of oddness caused by not saving and reloading after changing primary title.

Is it possible for you to host the save file somewhere, so I could take a look? And if not, could you send it to me by email?

That's a riot. He probably eats a lot of yogurt and salads...

Agree with Byak, if no one else is doing this then the character got screwed up with the change of senior title, otherwise the problem is either with the mtth or deathdate routine. Err, wait. I may have something to say about this in another hour os so.

I think it's him, yes (but not quite sure). I reloaded, maybe not immediately but i reloaded (i knew the trick).

That function is prevented for everyone afaik. Probably to avoid random people getting other peoples e-mail adresses without their consent.

Thanks, it's ok. Thanks to you, i found out how to solve it. I went into the game save file. At the bottom, i found out some counties and some duchies had TOUL as liege, and other had FRAN. I had saved and reloaded after becoming king of France, but not immediately. I changed all the "liege = TOUL" by "liege = FRAN". Reloaded the game... my king died a few days later. All is solved.
