Just got the expansions, where are the new units?

Just got all 3 expansions and played my favorite mission, 'Battle for survival on the plains'. I didn't notice anything new. Where's the Ice Mage, or any other new units, monsters, or abilities? Are they only available on certain missions or the campaign?

Ice mages' guild is available as temple after activation through the ingame store for free, and Lunord Temple for additional funds. New playable race is available in 3rd campaign.
