Back in KA1 I used to mouse over a pair of battling units and quickly find out how mine (with an animated figure in blue) was doing, and the enemy (in red). Because of the horrendous slows I've turned just about every graphics option off in KA2, and it's next to impossible to determine in forest terrain which unit is which. There's no blue vs red, just a little text in identical color stating that a given unit is down to X many men, etc.

When the unit's possessed, of course, it's easy to figure out that I'm dealing with the enemy, making who to target with a spell easy. But I can't do that under other circumstances. So: does anybody know which graphics option to turn back on to get back that blue/red animated image of KA1, or its equivalent? Assuming there is one, and it hasn't been completely eliminated. Thanks.

Not really, if I understand you correctly. I'm probably not explaining well enough. Let me try again.

In KA1, if you moused over two units fighting one another, you could see which was yours--it had a blue number, based on people in unit left alive--and the enemy's--it had a red number. You could very precisely target a unit with a positive or negative spell, by watching for that blue or red color. Now, I only see a number, without differentiation, for each unit. So unless it's something like "Possessed Archers" or "Lord Bors," it's easy to target the wrong side for the spell, especially in forests, where you can't see banners.

I was thinking that perhaps I'd turned something off in options that showed that animated unit with the blue/red number when moused over, and was looking to restore this. So I could tell my units apart from their foes.

EDIT: Yeah, the tab does the same thing, and it doesn't mean processing animations at the same time--so it probably speeds up matters a bit. Which the game needs, right now.
