You are right, script seems the best solution. However, I don't have much experience in coding (only few games, mainly Paradox ones) and I don't know how to do it..

I'd surely use it if you'll make it, so if you could do it I'd be grateful :)
Especially exp forces as they are now are annoying :(.
Ok I will do that. But to make it work everybody have to download sed.exe - 221 KB (unix command to change phrases in files - working in DOS enviroment) - but this is will be not a problem I suppose ? Rest of the script will be done by Windows shell commands. So it's 100% visible what it exactly doing. I will add comment to every script line. (5-10 lines probably)

I only do a script. You of course will be a distributor ;). 90% is done now, so I have 10% of work yet. I will send it to you by e-mail.

Ok, I PMed you my e-mail

Ok, post #13 updated. It now includes new version of No Exp Forces mod made by Kristof73. It's batch file so you can easily mod AI's so they don't send you any Exp Forces at all...

EDIT:OK, updated again thanks to Kristof73 - now it should work. If you have any questions please send them to Kristof.

Happy conquering :D

Yet another HoI 2 DD 1.2 mod:
Now I decided to add "night fighting penalty" to defender. DD original version was seriously unbalanced - night fighting saw attacker penalized too much. Now defender has only slight adventage, so both sides are penalized and night is now time when you bring reinforcements.. :)

File originaly created by Mikon Orod for his mod EmKeiEn..

No expeditionary forces to DD 1.2 without any other MODS which changes .ai files by Kristof73 - June 2006, Poland. All new versions will be done by Keraunos, Poland.

1. Unzip noexp.zip to your main DOOMSDAY catalogue e.g. C:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Doomsday (Overwrite the files - don't worry, backup ai catalogue is already included)
2. Run noexp.bat every new game. It will create new ai catalogue with oryginal files from 1.2 DD with added your country to no_exp_forces parameter.
3. If you want to get rid of this mod, simply replace "ai" with "ai-backup"

Notes:
- it was tested under Windows XP
- Script .bat use ssed.exe (DOS version of UNIX command) 3.62 version from: http://sed.sourceforge.net/grabbag/ssed/

### List of country TAG's in readme ###

NO EXPEDITIONARY FORCES
http://rapidshare.de/files/24316029/MOD_NO_EXP_FORCES_1.1a.ZIP.html

Please explain exactly what to do. I play single player and in lan with a friend. Shall I first start a game, then per taskmanager back to Win and run the *.bat or shall I start the *bat and then a new game?

What is with save-games? And what is to do during multiplayer-sessions? I understand that new ai-files are built by the *.bat but how do they affect a loaded game?

I would, but rapidshare is now full :( I don't know any other sites so if someone could point me to one - I could upload. Alternatively you could PM me your e-mail so I could sent it to you.

BTW,I rarely have access to internet,so it may take like 3-4 days..
