I'm sick of getting those "you have become friends/fallen-in-love with another child in the court" events, choosing the "yay!" option, and then having nothing happen.

Where do I find these two events? And what do I change, (and to what value), for it to add a new friend/love to the friendship panel every time?

I'd also like to do this to the "share the wonders of pregnancy" event, too.

You want the "/events/friends_events.txt".

ID = 8000 for the friends with another child event and
ID = 8003 for the pregnancy one.

Edit the file using a good editing program like notepad++ although you could probably use notepad if you really don't have anything else.

Now in the code, it sets a 75% chance that a friendship occurs. If you want to make them always be friends, you can set that to 100% I guess. Or if you're not upset about the chance but more of the fact that the text / message seems to imply that they will always be friends when you click Yay!, then you may want to change the message output from 'Yay!' to something more appropriate like - 'Let's try and be friends'.
