Simple solution

There is a simple solution to get rid of them completly. It works at least under win2000:

Just exchange the AVI files in the Avi folder with files of exact the same name and a size of 0 kb.
I'm doing this by deleting (or moving) the 5 AVIs and creating new textfiles and renaming them exact to same name and file-ending like the original avi. Be sure to configure your Windows to see the file-endings!
No more boring videos or waiting and pressing Escape anymore!

Thanks for tips..... But...

Hey Folks,
Thanks for the tips, but I was thinking of something similiar to Talensofts TOAW series. In that game there was an option to turn off the intros, starting at the next startup.
Buy the way, I have been ESC ing out of them as they come up. I suspect that this still leaves some memory residue in the system.

Thanks
Nova

Great idea Horgel; I also hate waiting for those AVIs to load just so I can immediatly kill them! But, does it cause problems for you because the file type is incompatable or something like that.

No problem for me

No problem for me at win 2000... (don't know other OS)
But the file names and extensions must match exactly. For example there must be a file called euintro.avi . It doesen#t seem to bother eu that it's at 0kb size. It just skips it and goes on loading...
Just be sure to configure your explorer to view ALL file types.
Then you can do the 'right click -> new ->textfile->rename' thing.
If you are in doubt just save the AVI's. Or better rename AVI folder and create a new one for the 0kb-AVIs.
