He is William Pendragon, King Arthur's son. He will be your very first main hero in King Arthur II, a true Warlord with unique skills that may prove extremely useful while you're fighting your battles.

I wish you would not use helms like that on the main heroes. There is a good reason why mods that remove helms in games like oblivion and skyrim are very popular : you can't really connect with a character while he's hiding behind a tin can like that.

Partial helms like what you see on roman legionnaires are ok. Just avoid the full face metal shields a la robocop.

Because making it easier for your enemies to kill you, is only polite. I prefer to protect my character's noggin.

And are you really comparing this game to other, very different, games?

My hero can use a sword and shield for protection just fine thank you. Besides, how is he going to lead a whole army when he can't even see sideways? and how is he gonna get enough air to breathe and fight properly through those tiny holes in the face armor?

As for comparing apples and oranges, the games are different but I was comparing a very specific aspect of those games. I just pointed at the moon and you'r looking at my finger.

He's not really leading the army, that's you. But anyway. He can turn his head or have people watching his flanks to inform him of enemy movement. There's also plenty of openings for air. Fight properly? Well, you pretty much trade visibility for protecting your noggin.
Heavy armour like that is not without problems, but living through the battle is considered more important.

Consider your point of view in both games. How much time do you spend staring at your heroes in KAII? (Or similar games for that matter. Assuming they have any.)
I would still go with the helmet in Skyrim, but you are much closer, I can at least understand it a bit better there.
