I take it that if I have the Steam version then I need to wait for the Steam version of the expansion? Any idea when it will be available on Steam?
 
Hey guys. This is by no means anything official. Just the latest from over in the steam KA forums.

"I don't think you will see this on Steam. The last 2 Magesty2 expansions are not on Steam. The DLC for Kings Crusade. Not on Steam. If you go to The Paradox Interactive website and look any of thos up they have links for purchasing all of them including Gamersgate, Impulse, ect. GOing by the history of the past several months I think Steam and Paradox no longer have a business agreement.

On the plus side Gamersgate has King Arthur available for 75% for the next few days and the Druids is 9.99."

That was a post by someone which is very true. Why put a product there if it will not continue to be supported on that platform for content? So needless to say if that holds true and we do actually want to play the Druid campaign we would have to rebuy the base and expansion. Not happening.
 
But didn't pretty much everyone who bought King Arthur do so through Steam?

Divine Wind is also not on Steam yet, although they've said it should be up this month. It could just be Steam being slow; I remember waiting for a patch for Sacred 2 for an entire month because, in Steam's words, "the engineer responsible for putting the patch up is currently on vacation".

What are the chances on the guy responsible for the Paradox stuff taking a late christmas break? ;)
 
IIRC, King Arthur was Steam only for a long time, so the majority of the playerbase is probably on steam.
I did bite the bullet and purchased it with the vanilla game with the -75% offer on gamersgate, because I couldn't wait, but a fast steam release would be appreciated.

No, it was available a few places. The DLC, and then the expension in June or July were on steam (the DLC was available since Jan. 22. I remember it well because I wanted it and could not get it for 8 months on the Impulse version. Really made me very mad and I have written several e-mails to Imulse [Stardock] and to Neocore [Kate there is very nice, but I think this is ridiculous to do to customers]. I really wanted it and got it approximately 8 months after the steam release, and now they won't say anything about the Druids expansion.)

I downloaded it via steam, but can't find the new campaign! Although the DLC is marked active, I can only choose between Original and Saxon campaign!
How can I start sandbox?
