In my current game, the AI-controlled king of England is a vassal to the Duke of Bourgogne.

Here is the entire hierarchy involving him

King of France
Duke of Bourgogne
King of England (also the count of Cornwall)
Most of the counts in England.

According to the realm view, all of the counties in england are technically part of France, though they are vassals of the King of England.

Should this be possible?

EDIT: I am using version 1.5

Does the situation remain after king of England dies a natural death? Can you reproduce it anyhow?

This situation has remained through several kings of England; one dies of old age, and his heir becomes king, remaining a vassal of the Duke.

I doubt that I can easily reproduce it; the pre- and post- situation savegame files are 14 years apart, and in the one before the situation arose, everything looks normal.

I have several save files from different periods of this game, if you'd like to see them.

Well, if it does happen when you set going from the pre-situation save, then it would be reproducable. Otherwise it's probably going to be very difficult to be dealt with in any other manner than noting that yes, that's how it is and there's little that can be done about it.

Looking at your other thread, my guess would be that somehow your game databases get out of sync. Are you perchance playing on high game speed and with a bit slower system?
