When I try to create a title as Duke of Alania, I get this:

Since in the vanilla-'game' this would be the kingdom of Cumans, but you use a different Coat of Arms and that kingdom has 27 provinces instead of 25 that are listed on your screen.

No mod installed, only thing I ever changed is the name of some Duchy so I could have the Duchy of Holland.. I think it was Artois. Either way, I must have fucked something up then so probably going to have to reinstall.Veldmaarschalk said:

Always make a copy of the files you change, something probably went wrong.
Did you use wordpad to mod the file ? And did you save it properly as a .csv file ?

You can't create that title (Cumans) because it is already in use by the pagan chief of the Cumans, you must destroy him before you can create the title again
And yes, changing the name of a duchy shouldn't cause any problems if done right
