Forgot to mention this before. Eranshahr is already a tag now, so I'd assume the flag swaps.
This has inspired me to make a compliation thread for ck3s dlc as that also has stuff spread between fifty threads, discord posts, and dev diaries

On one hand glad zoro persia is its own tag because it was a dumb one off rhat it got its own endonym, but on the other how many tags get multiple religious forms now. Latin vs byz empire, Bharat vs hindustan
No, it's the same Safavid flag, sadly. But then again, it was the 1st DD, maybe something has changed.

I'm also disappointed that you can't pick Safavids/Safavid Empire as your name upon forming Persia as Ardabil. They should have made it into an event like for Malaya, where you could choose between Persia, Iran and Safavids/Safavid Empire (the latter only, if formed by Ardabil).
Why would you want your tag to stoll be called the dynasty?

That's great news! Really glad about this. I'll edit the title and content of this post so it focuses on the Qizilbash Shia estate in Zoroastrian country issue since the tag issue is resolved.

I also noticed in this most recent dev diary that they said Persia is getting 116 missions in total, and 77 are missions we've seen already (38 are static missions from Persia mission tree, 1 is the mission that tells you to choose your religion, 10 missions for Zoro, Shia, Sunni (so 30 there), and lastly 8 missions (2 each) in total from each of the different previous tags you use to form Persia (either Timurid successor, Ardabil, Turkoman sheep tribe, Mazandaran). So that adds up to 30+8+1+38=77. Where do the other 116-77=39 missions come into play? I'm hoping some/all could be Eranshahr missions that we haven't seen yet but that's a little too hopeful because that is a TON of missions.

You answered your own question by underlining the relevant part from the DD.
Not quite. The issue is that there was 51 total when counting all variants of a mission as 1.
Now, let me count the shared missions, and get the number based off the dev diary.
It's 39. There's 38 more common missions than shown in the dev diary.
Now, let's count all variants of the branching missions.
Origin - 8
Religion - 16 (from the shared Muslim missions and Zoroastrian) + 6 (Shia, Sunni, Zoroastrian)
THIS adds up to: 69.
Something doesn't add up here, to say the least.
There's 38 unaccounted for common missions and 9 unaccounted for religious missions.

The DD states that there 31 missions depending on religion. Where do you get the 16 from?

By COUNTING the missions in the Persia dev diary, manually. I'm not going off the latest dev diary showing overall content.
Also, I counted 22 religious missions total, I just broke it down into the two parts.

I got a slightly different number. So Zoroastrian branching tree gives you 10 unique missions. Shia gives you 10 unique missions. Sunni gives you 10 unique missions. There are 8 total missions based on your origin country (2 for Ardabil, 2 for Mazandaran, 2 for Aq and Qara, 2 for Timurids), so there's 8 there. Lastly, there are 39 static missions that do not change regardless of your country of origin or your religion. These static missions are things like the mission where it tells you to choose your religion and its branch path, or "Shahanshah's Coffers", etc. So that's 39+8+30=77. So there can be 77 total missions you could have depending on your starting country and the religion you chose. The thing is, the most recent dev diary said there are 116 missions in total. Where are the rest of the 116-77 = 39 missions because they weren't in the Persia mission tree we saw last week in the dev's livestream of Persia in KoK (at time 3:31:13).

There is a slight error with your religion math: The Sunni and Shia branching missions share 8 out of the 10 missions, the Sunni and Shia paths are sub-branches of the larger Muslim branch. So, I was a bit off, but only in how I presented the numbers, not in final result: 10 Zoroastrian + 8 Muslim + 4 Sunni/Shia = 22.
16 + 6 is still 22, but for the wrong reasons. Thanks for making me double-check my math.

Hey guys! It was a math error on our side while writing the DD. There are 77 missions in total, of which 31 depend on Religion, and 8 depend on Origin. I'll correct it in the DD; thanks for noticing it, and sorry for the inconvenience.

That explains a lot: Thank you!
