King w/ diplomacy of 1

I just got a new king. Although he has a very high diplomacy advisor he also keeps getting random events where certain counties will simply leave the realm. (not rebellions or anything) I've never had this before this king.

Are these events connected to his low base diplomacy?
 
Sounds very likely
Low diplomacy means vassal loyalty is probably dropping quickly.
When vassals get event that enables them to declare independence, what you get is an event that they have left.
 
Well their loyalty is high- they're just randomly leaving. At least I'm not receiving realm duress or negative stability or anything.


As for the crappy king, I picked him up early so I could start spreading English culture around the UK.... damn slow "melting pot" events. : (

Are the vassals Rebellious?? ... they get events to break free, even if they have high loyalty at the moment. They also get loyalty-lowering events.
