Yes, and I think it may have been fixed in the latest beta. So it might be worth trying that out if you really want to create the vassal... (it probably has to do with the vassal having the TP as the historical capital).

Thanks for the info! I haven´t tried the latest beta yet. I rather wait for a new official patch, I hope it doesn´t take too long before it´s released!

I wouldn't wait for another "official" patch. It could be months or maybe never. I would at least use the 4thofJune2004 beta; the revoltrisk stacking bug as well as some crashbugs are fixed. The later betas added some controversial features with embargoes, trade agreements, and straits. Does the potential vassal have any non-TP provinces? There was a change made in the 5Sep2004 beta:
- You can no longer release vassals that only consists of trading posts.
If the vassal does have some non-TP provinces this may have fixed the problem as a side-effect.

There was only one province with a TP when the game CTD. I suppose I should try the latest beta too see if it solves the problem.
