¿What is the difference? I´m able to build both, and the handelposten can become a Kolonien. But What´s better??

Handelposten= Trade post
Kolonie = Colony
Trade posts increases the trade value of the province a lot, but only grants a small increase in production value.
Colonies only increases trade value modestly, but gives an ok increase in productionvalue. When a colony reaches 700 inhabitants it 'grows' a city and you will when population increases further recruit troops and build things in it.
