Would be grateful for any advice on the following problem. 1v1: Me versus Friend. I can host but friend cannot host. When I host and we play (Armageddon 1.2), the game clock starts normally for me but friends game clock will start late, lag, suddenly catch up, run normally and then begin to lag again, quickly catch up and so on. Any suggestions? Thanks.

anything above slow can cause lag, probably shouldnt play with anything slower than dsl.

Just for info: Solved the problem. Friends machine did not have the correct connection port settings as per the advice given in this forum. Game now running fine.
