I tried to play a 2 player MP game, but when there is alot of activity in the game (like France(me) attacking Spain(AI)) the game lags. We check the dates I was 1516 and the other player was 1517. I gave oders to my units but the oders were not carried out for over 1 year. This happen in 2 games. We are using DSL connection,Windows ME.

Try playing at a lower gamespeed.
Helps both with low bandwith connections and slow computers (ME runs a lot of crap in the background, as might a lot of other programs like office etc).
